Two Month Update

Josie is two months old as of last Thursday! Time goes by so fast! She is still an excellent baby and progressing well! She is starting to have more expression and will smile and "talk"! It brightens my day to see her smile! She has become a little attached to "mom" and lights up when she hears my voice! I love it, but then feel bad when she is a little fussy around others!

This is Josie loving her "tummy time". She is not a huge fan of it, but is more tolerant of it as she gets older. Now if mom was just diligent about doing it!

This is Josie all dolled up for her walk! The weather has been fantastic and we have taken advantage of it by taking a walk almost every day!

I have three more weeks of maternity leave and life will change drastically! I have cried every day this week thinking about leaving her at the daycare. The daycare is wonderful, but nonetheless it will be a very hard transition! Blake better get ready for more tears!

Loving the Swing

Josie was introduced to her swing the last couple days. By the look on her face, I am not sure if she is really enjoying it! We will keep trying, mom loves having a little break to get some things done!

Sleeping Through the Night

This is Josie dead asleep. She is not sure if she wants her pacifier or not, but I am sure she feels comforted she has it close by in case the urge hits her!

The last four nights Josie has only woken up once in the night! HALLELUJIAH!!! We have been putting her in bed by 9:30 and she is waking up at 3:30 and then at 6:30/7:00 in the morning!! I am so excited to have a happy baby that sleeps well! I hope this trend continues.

She's here!

We have recently added a new addition to the Nichols family. Josie Nichols arrived on Monday, January 19th and we couldn't be more excited! It was a fairly quick delivery. We arrived at the hospital at 6:30 AM and she entered this world at 12:22 PM. Blake didn’t believe me when I woke him up at 3:30 and told him I think it's time to go! I am glad I didn't take his advice and wait until our 11:00 doctor's appointment later that day!

It's amazing how quickly you forget about the 9 months of misery and the painful delivery. I would do it all over again!

Josie is such a joy and an amazing daughter. I am in awe at the instant love and bond that is established. Blake and I adore her and spend every moment of each day (& night) thinking of her!
